Historic Hawaii Foundation Presents 2022 Preservation Honor Award to RNSHA

Thomas Square is a park located in Honolulu, Hawaii, named for Admiral Richard Darton Thomas. Constructed in 1843, this public park is approximately 6.5 acres, and is surrounded by an expansive lawn of trees and shrubs, and a large cascading fountain. Thomas Square is significant for its association with the nineteenth century political history of the Kingdom of Hawaii.

RNSHA received the 2022 Preservation Honor Award from the Historic Hawaii Foundation in recognition of the Rehabilitation of the Thomas Square Trellis and Comfort Station. RNSHA provided electrical engineering design for the replacement of existing fountain pump system, renovation of existing comfort station, new lighting and lighting control devices, upgrade electrical distribution system, construction documents and assistance during construction.
